Therapist - Upton
My name is Kel and I am a Counsellor / Psychotherapist, Supervision, Educator and Researcher primarily working in the area of Eating Disorders.
I have been in private practice for around 10 years and work with those over the age of 16 on a 1-to-1 basis. The vast majority of my clients are struggling with Eating Disorder type difficulties – whether diagnosed, or not. This may be the main presenting issue, or it may be a coping mechanism for other difficulties in life such as anxiety, trauma, identity struggles and low self esteem.
I can work with those anywhere on their recovery journey and strongly believe that recovery is possible.
I have also created ‘The Eating Disorder Recovery Companion’ which is low cost, subscription based resource portal for those with Eating Disorders. Find info on this service here: https://recoverycompanion.counsellingandtraining.co.uk/
As a result of the pandemic I moved my therapy practice online, and despite some initial reluctance found that working online meant I could support anyone, anywhere in the country. I love that this gives the client the opportunity to choose the therapist they think is right for them – irrespective of location. It can also make therapy more accessible during a busy education or working life, as it reduces the need for travel, changing therapist if you move away (such as to university) and so on.
I am registered with BUPA, AXA and Aviva.
You can find more information about me and the way I work on my website.
Please get in touch if you feel I might be able to help you on your recovery journey.
