Therapist - Luton
I believe all difficulties we experience with regard to our mental health are episodes and not a way of life. I see my role as a counsellor as to help you to develop and build resilience, self-confidence and self-esteem, so you can master the art of living without living being a burden.
I use Person-Centered therapy techniques, as well as incorporate other approaches, such as hypnotherapy, CBT, mindfulness, and journaling, to ensure a truly tailored counselling experience for my client.
I know choosing an anonymous counsellor just from a few words and a photo on a screen can be unnerving and it may be difficult to feel like you are making an informed decision, so I want our initial session to be an opportunity for you to make sure I am the right person for you to work with and for me to make sure I have to experience and expertise to work with you. After this consultation, there is no requirement or expectation for you to book another session and I will always be guided by you, what you want and what you need.
I am a Chrysalis-trained counsellor and have completed the AIM Awards Level 3 in Hypnotherapy & Counselling Skills, AIM Awards Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, BA (Hons) in Childhood & Youth Studies and PGDip in Mental Health & Well-being. I have over 25 years’ experience of working with children 0-18 years, parents, adult individuals and families. I specialise in working with children and young people, LGBTQIA+ (as a member of the community and an ally), pregnancy, birth & when these do not go as expected, anxiety, depression, anger, overwhelm and grief
