My interests and skills lay in being alongside clients seeking to gain greater self understanding, insight and clarity. I have extensive experience working with complex relationship dynamics. I am committed to honouring each individuals experience and attempting to make sense together of their dilemmas. I aim to create a safe space for a deeper exploration of each persons felt sense and lived experience.
I am particularly interested in the impact of traumatic experiences both developmental and incidental on an individuals nervous system. As a way of coping we often develop maladaptive behaviours. These are generally smart choices growing up but can become problematic in our adult relationships. My intention as a counsellor is to support clients to deepen their self awareness and develop a greater understanding of significant relationships so they can make the changes needed to create the relationships they desire.
