At Counselling with Laura, I offer professional, person-centred support tailored to your unique journey. My goal is to help you understand your patterns, build resilience, and develop the tools needed for lasting change. Taking the first step toward therapy is an act of courage—I’m here to ensure you feel supported from our very first session.
I am a qualified counsellor and CBT therapist. I qualified through Ridgeway College in 2012 with level 2 and 3 counselling skills, cognitive behavioural therapy, along with Art Therapy, then late renewing my Advanced Level 4 in 2024.
I hold accreditation with the ISPCC and work within the BACP guidelines for ethics framework.
I volunteered at a local hospice as a bereavement counsellor for two years. I also spent a year with private clients as a placement within my training. I then went on to counsel students in a mainstream secondary school.
Qualifications aside, I have wanted to help people since being at secondary school, I am also a person that navigates challenges and anxieties. Having explored this myself and worked through difficult seasons, I feel I am able to bring life experience and allow you to feel understood within the sessions.
I don’t just see you as a client; I see you as a person with a unique story, deserving of a space where you can feel truly heard and safe.
What I can help with:
